Sicososyal football: Red Cross Red Crescent organizes ‘camp cup’ in Haiti

The only thing more exciting (and therapeutic) than a good game of football is tournament.

Three quake camps in Petit Goâve that are part of the medical catchment area for the Canadian-Norwegian Red Cross field hospital are providing teams for a ten-minutes each-way challenge on the town's main soccer pitch.

With the help of the local branch of the Haitian Red Cross Society, Andersen has organized two teams each from Mayoro, Pierre Mendes and Gaston IV Foucault camps for a points-based challenge kicking off at 15:00, after the worst of the day's heat has passed.
