West Ham set to steal Thierry Henry away from NYRed Bulls

With virtually every media outlet reporting that Thierry Henry will be joining the New York Red Bulls following this summer's World Cup, there is word that a team in the Premier League is set to steal the Barcelona striker with a last-second bid. West Ham joint chairman David Sullivan told the Sun on Friday that his club is prepared to throw money that they don't really have at the former Arsenal star in order to gain his services.

"We're trying to assemble a more prolific strike force at West Ham and I'd love to have Henry here," said Sullivan. "Our club is in debt but a striker of his quality and standing would make it a great deal.
