NHL Nashville Predators Dan Hambius trip to Haiti with 'pretty shocking' for blueliner

Dan Hamhuis had seen the dramatic images of the damage from January's disastrous earthquake in Haiti, but he wasn't prepared for what he saw when he got off the plane this week in Port-au-Prince.

"It's pretty shocking when you get off the plane from North America," said Hamhuis, the Nashville Predators defenceman who was in the ravaged country as part of a delegation from the NHL Players' Association to announce a donation of more than $1 million to help rebuild a children's' hospital that was badly damaged in the Jan. 12 earthquake.
