Rochester Rhinos announced that they have agreed to a contract with midfielder Kénold Versailles

The Rochester Rhinos also announced that they have agreed to a contract with midfielder Kénold Versailles.  Versailles, a native of Carrefour, Haiti joins the Rhinos after having spent part of the 2010 season with Crystal Palace Baltimore.  The 24-year old had appeared in only one match this season.

The 6’2” midfielder also has USL experience suiting up for the Vancouver Whitecaps during the 2009 season, appearing in nine games and scoring once.  At the club level, Versailles  played seven years in Division 1 Ligue Haitienne - the top league in Haiti. From 2002 to 2005, Versailles played with Racing Club Haitien, winning the league's Clôture title in 2002. From 2006 to 2007, he starred with Roulado Gonaives.

“Kénold is an athletic player who adds some energy to our midfield” said Rhinos Head Coach Bob Lilley.  “He is a very good passer and and reads the game very well.”

As a youth, Versailles was a member of the Haitian national youth system, seeing action in qualifying games for the 2001 FIFA U-17 World Championship in Trinidad and Tobago.  In addition he participated in the 2003 FIFA World Youth Championship in the United Arab Emirates. Besides playing with Haiti’s U17, U-20 and U-23 teams he has earned five caps with the Haitian National Team.
